Promises to be a fun day so make sure you get along!!Make sure you get along to our Valentines Day market on February 14th as we have some amazing stallholders coming along on the day selling all sorts of potential gifts for your better halves. Gifts for men and women, let you partner shop till they drop, what more could they want. Then relax with a coffee and a bacon and egg sandwich (or zucchini fritter) while watching the kids on the playground, all sounds pretty awesome doesn't it!! ... See MoreSee Less

This morning we were lucky to have Gerry Butler come to visit us. Gerry founded and heads up The Gums Landcare Group who have done a huge amount of work on the northern side of The Gums in Tranmere, particularly improving the Third Creek environs. He's also been heavily involved in Clean Campbelltown initiative and the new Campbelltown Community Nursery that is being formed in association with LOVE Campbelltown. We engaged with him recently to look at Nightingale Park further up Third Creek where he and some colleagues have come up with suggestions now heading to Campbelltown City Council (SA) for consideration. Busy guy! Back around 2001 our club had a significant involvement in the rejuvenation of Nightingale Park, which is now looking fairly tired and needs work, so we're keen to be involved again in some capacity. This park opposite Uni SA Magill on St Bernards Rd is a true hidden gem in the area with its beautiful trees and wonderful facilities, plus the largely natural Third Creek passing through. We're also open to involvement in some of the other amazing initiatives Gerry told us about.Gerry is shown here holding a small copy of an exceptional painting of The Gums by famed local artist Lyn Robins (the real painting is 900mm x 600mm). Lyn often donates outstanding works like this to various causes, including the door prize for the annual Campbelltown Art Show run by our good friends at Rotary Club of Campbelltown. Tickets to win this stunning painting are $5 each and all proceeds go to the establishment of the new Community Nursery. Well worthy of your support! Did you know that Australia's largest outdoor art show is run by Rotary and is right here in SA? Our friends at Rotary Victor Harbor run their huge annual show right in the heart of Victor. It opened this weekend and runs through to next Saturday. Great excuse to go for a drive this week and take in the wonderful southern coast. Like the local events we hold, your support of this show helps raise funds for so many different Rotary projects both locally and around the world. As our current Rotary theme says: Rotary Opens Opportunities! 👍🎨 ... See MoreSee Less
