What Does Membership Cost?
Rotary membership involves a modest annual fee of $220 which helps fund Rotary’s administration and enables members to access the many opportunities available through Rotary locally, nationally and internationally.
Significant discounts are available for partners, full-time students and people under 25 years of age.
Importantly, membership fees support the operation of Rotary itself. They do not replace fundraising efforts for the causes we support.
Meetings and Activities
Unlike many organisations, we don’t expect members to attend everything.
Our focus is on meaningful participation rather than attendance records. We understand that people have work, family and other commitments, so members choose the activities that suit their interests and availability.
For those who enjoy meeting together, we offer:
- A breakfast meeting on the first Tuesday of each month ($20)
- An evening social meeting at the Tower Hotel on the third Tuesday of each month, where members purchase their own meals
- A casual monthly Saturday morning café meeting before setting up the Magill Rotary Market
Many of our service projects are free to participate in, while some fundraising events may involve ticket or entry costs.
Every Dollar Raised Goes to the Community
One principle we’re particularly proud of is that our operating costs are covered separately.
Funds raised through our community activities are directed to the causes and projects we support, helping ensure that every fundraising effort delivers maximum community benefit.
