MEETING 1178: A NEW CLUB STRATEGIC PLAN

Let’s face it, Strategic Plans are not fun to create, but are essential. Our plan is based around 3 strategic pillars in the circles at the top – Community Connection, Sustainable Future, Take Action. Each one of those colour coded pillars breaks down to a number of strategies to be followed over the next 5 years or so in what we call “horizons” – you can’t do everything at once, so you build up from one horizon to the next with your actions. MEETING 1176: DISTRICT CONFERENCE

This week we heard from Lindsay, Ian and Mark about the District Conference conducted by RC of Campbelltown. Mark summed it up well: “My overall impression of this year’s conference at Tanunda’s Faith Lutheran College/Theatre was it was my seventh and one of the best that I have attended. For an amateur group it was of professional standards. The EMCEE, former Campbelltown Rotarian, Lynton Nicholas, was the comedic conduit that seamlessly moved from guest presenter to the next.” Bulletin RCMS 1176

MEETING 1175: OPERATION FLINDERS UPDATE

It was wonderful to have Jonathon back here again to update us on the essential work of Op Flinders, which our club has supported wholeheartedly since it came to this area. I thought that was longer ago but looking back I see that the program only came to the area in late 2017 and the first group was supported in 2018, so this is only the 4th or 5th year we will support the venture. Importantly in that time, the lives of 40 or 50 young people from our local area have been transformed by this important work. Bulletin RCMS 1175
