Our existing strategic plan came to an end at the end of last year. We started thinking about a new one around April last year and you were all invited to give your input. A number of suggestions were made, which was great. That resulted in me presenting a draft of a much simpler new plan in November. THEN some of us made the mistake of attending the District Membership Summit in late November. The summit threw out some extremely confronting suggestions about the way clubs should operate, which hugely affected the plan. The main challenges were that clubs must not focus on meetings and membership, but projects and outcomes. That is what prospective members want to know about – actually, also what current members need to know as well.
