With so many of our members holidaying or away on other commitments, we almost cancelled meeting #1198. However, a small but cheerful group took the opportunity to visit Magill Village, enjoying a coffee and hearty feed courtesy of Wade at Pint Café. Although the Café opened during Covid, it has survived and continued to grow through the roadwork disruptions.
George Mappas, proprietor of The Battery Co in partnership with wife, Leanne Dangerfield was our guest speaker for club meeting 1999. George’s business card carries these words, ‘Where quality and service is remembered long after the price is forgotten’ and that was pretty much the recurring theme of George’s address.
